ORIGINAL DESIGN & MANUFACTURED IN THE UK
The Surface Mounted Flow Plate, is perfect for creating one way directional traffic. Most commonly used for entrances and exits on car parks and one way roads, but is also a perfect solutions for stopping drivers using roads as a cut through.
The SB.14 Surface Mounted Flow Plate (Patent No’s 22385658, 22705338) is the first and original design of surface mounted flow plate, manufactured for over 25 years it was designed to offer many advantages over the sunken design. Eliminating the inconvenience of digging holes and piercing roads surfaces. Their simple bolt down installation, creates and easy yet effective traffic control solution. Additionally, unlike the sunken flow plate, these can be used on upper levels in multi-storey car parks, as the damp membrane risk, is substantially reduced.
The SB.14 is suitable for cars only Please see our HGV design which is suitable for both cars and HGV vehicles
Are the SB.14 flow plates suitable for sports cars?
Our SB.14 Standard plates are suitable for sports cars however, we recommend that our SB.22 75mm Speed ramp is used in conjunction with our flow plates to ensure traffic is travelling over at the correct speed. The flow plates are a method of controlling the direction of traffic, not to calm traffic speeds. If cars are approaching too fast this may cause damage to the plates.
Can I lock the plates down for emergency vehicles?
The SB.14 Locking bar is available to temporarily lock the plates down to allow two way traffic such as, emergency vehicles to gain access from both directions. We do advise that these are only a temporary measure and must not be used as a permanent fixture.
Are the SB.14 Standard’s suitable for Heavy Goods Vehicles?
These are not suitable for HGV’s the maximum load is one tonne per axle. Please see our SB.14 HGV Low Flap which is suitable for both cars and HGV’s
How many plates do I require?
