Armco Rolled Off-road Safety Crash Barriers

Pedestrian safety is well provided for by Armco Rolled Off-road Safety crash Barriers. Based on our assessment, here at Barriers Direct, these crash barriers are a great way to segregate vehicles from pedestrian traffic and limit any damage to buildings and other fixed structures.

These road safety barriers feature a ‘W’ shaped corrugated beam of 3.2 metres in length. The beam is fixed to a choice of either RSJ or Z posts. RSJ posts are sturdy and are designed to stop vehicles upon impact. Z posts are weaker and are intended to collapse on impact, deflecting damage from vehicles. This ‘give’ can help soften impact and reduce the level of physical injury to the occupants of the vehicle. 

Both these posts come in an option of either concrete-in or bolt-down versions. If you are not sure what choice of posts is best suited for your premises barrier system, do get in touch with us and we will advise you appropriately and provide a quote. These are among our crash barriers for sale and discounts are available for some orders. 

The posts are also available at varying heights depending on your needs. These road barriers also come in a standard galvanised finish, but can also be colour-coated in RAL 1023. Do allow for at least two weeks lead-time for colour coating. 

The Armco barrier prices are affordable, making them a cost-effective security solution for areas where there is vehicle access and the risk of injury to pedestrians, structures or other costly assets. They can be used along private roads, industrial sites, car parks, shopping centres, cliff edges, and anywhere there is costly machinery outdoors that could suffer accidental damage. At Barriers Direct, we do also offer smoothened fishtail ends for a neater and safer finish to the beam sections.

Our off road barriers are premium product that are Brand new Panels that are NOT reconditioned. Now available as either the original Heavy Duty panel with a thickness of 3mm thick panel, the 2mm Eco Panel, or new Standard Panel at 2.5mm thick.

These Armco Rolled offroad safety crash barriers are very simple to install. This untested system consists of a ‘W’ shaped corrugated beam, 3.2m effective length, fixed to a concreted in or bolted down post which are readily available in various heights.

Protecting pedestrians from impact on private roads, industrial sites and carparks as well as protecting buildings and machinery.

The Off-Road range of products enables segregation of vehicles and pedestrian traffic whilst also protecting buildings and other high cost assets from accidental damage.

MATERIAL CALCULATOR

  • Divide your total length requirement by 3.2m - Gives you total number of beams required
  • Divide your total length by post spacing (3.2m for light applications or 1.6m for standard) - This will give you your number of posts then add 1 post for the end
  • You will require 1 post per additional lap/join (corners or bends etc.)

BOLTS REQUIRED

  • You will require 8 Lap Bolts to join one beam to another
  • You will require 8 Lap Bolts to join one beam to one end of a Corner
  • You will require 4 Lap bolts to join one fishtail end to a beam
  • You will require 8 Lap bolts to join one Type D End Terminal to a beam
  • You will need 1 post bolt per post for single height barrier, if you have double height barrier, you will need two bolts per post
