Anti-Ram Bollards

For areas where there is a need for strong physical barrier protection from ramming, we offer the anti-ram bollards. Specifically designed to withstand significant force, they protect buildings from deliberate vehicular collisions. They are tough RAM RAID deterrent steel bollards constructed with extra internal reinforcement and mild galvanised steel.

Certain buildings are at a particular risk of being attacked by ram raiders. Such targets include banks, jewellers, shopping centres, embassies, and petrol stations. With the growing risk of terrorist attacks, the range of vulnerable targets widens to include any venues where significant numbers of people congregate.

Anti-ram raid bollards provide an excellent means of preventing attacks that make use of vehicles from crossing boundaries. This is especially important where large amounts of cash are being held near the entrance, and storefronts are mostly built up with glass to attract customers. As it makes the most sense to have tills near the entrance, this unfortunately also makes this area prone to attacks if exposed.

When supplied, this bollard comes empty. When put in place, it can then be filled with reinforcement steel bars or cage, and concrete. The domed cap comes with a J hook that secures itself in place when inserted. It comes fitted with a lifting eyelet for easy installation. We can supply it either with a galvanised finish or painted on zinc upon request. We also offer it a choice of two heights, 1264mm or 1270mm, and two diameters, 219mm or 273mm.

The presence of anti-ram bollards works as a strong deterrent against plans of attack. Not only do they enhance the security of the building, but reduce the risk of damage to it. They can also double up as a tool for demarcation, helping to mark boundaries between car parks and roads, and sidewalks. Their simple pole design works well with most buildings and outdoor environments.
