Trailer Security Post

Caravans and trailers are often parked for extended periods with their owners away, and unfortunately, this can often encourage theft. The loss of such a vehicle and all its contents can be quite devastating. The good news is that sometimes, a simple trailer security post is all you need to avoid this risk. Unauthorised tows cannot occur when the trailer is well parked and obstructed using this simple device.

Supplied with a high-security disc padlock, the trailer can also be well secured to the post to further deter theft. Only two keys are supplied with the padlock, but you may request for more copies at a small additional cost. We do recommend upgrading to the PP30 disc padlock for its superior security. We offer a choice of keyed differently or keyed alike. The disc padlock is secured at the bottom of the post when inserted.

With black and yellow striped tape applied along the length of the post, it should be highly visible to anyone attempting to gain unauthorised access. The post stands to a height of 415mm when upright. The spigot base only sinks to a depth of 290mm, meaning that when not in use the post should be entirely removed to allow for safe passage of the trailer or caravan. The trailer security post comes zinc plated, making it ideal for use in all weather conditions. The hitch ball welded to the top of the post measures 50mm in diameter, making it suitable for use with most standard hitches. The security post works well as a barrier and structure on which to secure the vehicle. Using a hitch lock you can secure your caravan or trailer in another economical yet effective way. This is, however, a device that must be bought separately.
