Chain Post

When looking for a low-cost and space-saving temporary barrier, the chain post set from Barriers Direct makes for the best solution. Each post comes with four integrated chain eyes that allow for flexibility in how the chains can be attached to create a barrier. The posts are made of plastic and come in a choice of either red and white, or black and yellow bands for enhanced visibility. The plastic material is corrosion-proof to allow for its durable use even in harsh environments like construction and public works sites.

The posts stand at a height of 870mm, with a low centre of gravity created by the heavy bases. This helps keep them stable even when exposed to unpredictable weather conditions. The bases come in several variations. There are those made of a plastic exterior that is concrete-filled and weighs 2.9 kilograms. Another option is hard rubber bases that each weighs 1.8 kilograms. There are also plastic hollow bases that can be filled with an option of sand or water to make them heavy. The shapes of the bases also vary with options including triangular, circular, and square designs.

For a set of four posts, we include 6 metres of M-POLY chain, 6 connecting links, and 6 S-hooks. For a set of six posts, we include 10 metres of M-POLY chain, 10 connecting links, and 10 S-hooks. We do recommend that when using the chain posts, the distance between them should not exceed 2.5 metres.

This chain post can be quickly and easily transported and deployed according to need. The plastic hollow base options are particularly easy to carry around. The posts and bases can be easily detached to allow for even greater space-saving.
