In this position, the bollard is low enough to allow comfortable and safe movement of most vehicles overhead. Do, however, note that this parking bollard is not meant to be driven over with tyres.
In their upright position, these folding parking posts provide an effective barrier against which vehicles cannot get by without the relevant key to the integral security lock. The hinged base of these posts is what allows them to be lowered flat against the ground. The base is secured to the ground with two bolts or with the option of concrete in.
