Designed specifically for controlling and restraining errant moving vehicles—such as forklifts, lorries, cars, or agricultural machinery—this barrier acts as a physical shield. It is the ideal solution for protecting vulnerable structures, valuable machinery, pedestrian walkways, and critical site boundaries.

Estimated Lead Times & Delivery Process:

Please note: Due to the heavy nature of these steel barrier systems, offloading is strictly the customer's responsibility upon delivery unless a specific vehicle upgrade is arranged.

Current Estimated Lead Times:

  • Standard Orders (Under 10 Units): 4 working days. (Orders placed before 12 noon are invariably delivered the next working day, subject to location and carrier routing).
  • Large Orders (10+ Units): Please allow up to 14 working days. High order volumes can rapidly deplete allocated stock, requiring additional processing time.
  • Custom Modifications: For bespoke requirements or system modifications, please contact our specialist sales team directly by telephone to discuss options and extended timeframes.

Delivery Logistics & Upgrades:

  • Standard Offloading: Customers must have the appropriate means (e.g., a forklift or sufficient manual labor) available on-site to safely offload the goods from the delivery vehicle.
  • Moffat / Hiab Delivery Upgrade: If you cannot offload the items yourself, you can request a delivery upgrade to a Moffat or Hiab lorry by placing your order over the telephone. Please note: This upgraded service is subject to regional viability and guarantees kerbside delivery only. Any movement of the goods beyond the kerbside onto your premises is strictly at the driver's discretion, so having your own handling equipment on-site for final placement remains highly recommended.

I have an old fitting that needs removing before the new one can be installed. Can you uninstall it, and will you take it away?

Yes, our installation team can uninstall redundant fittings and in some instances decommission electrical equipment too. Dependent on the job we may also be able to dispose of old fittings on your behalf. Additional fees may apply for this service, please discuss with us at the time of ordering, as this cannot be arranged on the day. Our installers will also bring with them any tools or equipment required to carry out the installation and dispose of any waste material created as a result of their work, and will assist with the reinstatement of surfaces after removal and installation. Can the installer bring the products with them on the day of installation, rather than having them delivered separately?

In some situations it’s easier for installers to bring your products with them on the day. Depending on the product, it is sometimes possible for the installer to bring the item(s) with them on the day of installation rather than arranging a separate delivery. If this is essential, for instance if no one is available onsite to sign for deliveries or if you have nowhere safe to store items, please discuss your needs with us at time of booking. We are also happy to accommodate timed delivery services if deliveries can only be accepted within specific timeframes or certain days, although additional charges may apply for out of standard hours service.

Is a site visit necessary prior to fitting?

You will find a copy in your Order Confirmation email, and a PDF invoice copy attached. The email will have come from info@barriersdirect.info (we recommend searching for this email address in your inbox to locate it).

Alternatively, log in to My Account and visit the My Orders page to view and download a replacement PDF copy of your invoice.

How long does delivery take?

We offer a standard delivery service free of charge within Great Britain on most of our products. We aim to get most items to you between 3 and 5 working days, unless otherwise stipulated. Please note, all delivery dates are estimated; we strongly recommend that you do not book tradesmen or projects in until goods have been received on site and checked.

Delivery usually takes place any time between 09:00 and 17:00 on the date of delivery - please ensure someone is in to take safe receipt of your order.

Express Delivery

We offer an express delivery service on certain products - see individual product details for more information. This service may also apply to other products, on request. For more information please call our sales team on 01279 704077. Please note: all express delivery orders must be placed before 12pm the day before to ensure a timely delivery.

*On occasion, certain products may require a separate delivery charge, for example if they are particularly heavy or require additional lifting equipment. This delivery cost, if applicable, will be agreed with you before completion of the order and dispatch.
