The UK can be prone to flooding. Our flood barriers are an effective and secure way of defending your property, particularly your doors, from floodwater. They are easy to place and just as easy to remove when they are no longer needed. Our flood barriers make for a lighter and more convenient alternative to traditional sandbags and are just as effective, if not more so.
Our flood protection barriers weigh only 0.5kg when dry, making them only 10% the weight of traditional sandbags but just as effective! This makes it a lot easier to put them into position and remove them when needed. When activated by water, our flood barriers increase in weight to provide more stability. Each bag will absorb around 20 litres of water, weighing around 20kg when full. They will also expand in size, ensuring a tight fit. Our flood barriers can be stacked on top of one another, just like sandbags, ensuring your property and especially your doors are superbly protected. Our flood barriers are made from an extremely absorbent polymer inner pulp with a non-woven polypropylene hydrophilic finish exterior. They are designed to be eco-friendly.
Here at Barriers Direct, we sell two types of flood protection barrier, the hydro sack and the hydro snake. The hydro sack is wider, the hydro snake longer, making each suitable for different scenarios. The individual sacks can be bent into shape to help provide maximum protection and they can also be used together for greater effectiveness. They are suitable for use as flood barriers for doors in residential, commercial and industrial settings. Both designs are available in packs of 2 or packs of 24.
