Product Description

These Steel Bollards have a Semi-automatic retractable action. They are designed to restrict access to vehicular traffic to controlled areas.

They are supplied as single piece units up to 162 kg.

Recommendation: This product is designed to deter vehicular passage and it is not an “anti-ram” device and should not be used as such. Retractable bollards must not be placed in the tyre paths of vehicles.

  • 220 or 160 mm Diameter
  • Two height available
  • Applied force of 45 kg is required to retract the bollard
  • Painted after anti-corrosion treatment in our RAL colours
  • Ground-cover (skirt) is removable for maintenance
  • Ground-cover (skirt) is made of 60 mm cast iron, Ø 340 mm
  • Ground-cover (skirt) is non-slip with a raised paved effect and a slops calculated to allow water to run off
  • Ground-cover (skirt) is lacquered black on primer coat
  • Ground-cover (skirt) is Fixed to the casing by four stainless steel Hex socket cap head screws (Ø 10 mm). Screw heads protected by removable rubber caps
  • The bollard support is equipped with guide ball bearings, distortion resistant, hard wearing
  • The bollard slides vertically in a removable drum inserted in the external casing and is raised using a sealed gas piston
  • External casing is made of galvanised sheet steel, with strong lifting eyelets for quick and easy installation
  • Supplied with full installation and maintenance instructions which must be carefully followed to ensure correct functioning and life span

OPERATING

  • Closing: with one turn of the key, the bollard rises and automatically locks into the raised position
  • Opening: turn the key and remove it, then apply vertical pressure to the dome of the bollard with the foot, until it locks automatically in the lowered position
  • Lock unit: made of stainless steel. The stainless steel lock protector is spring loaded and shields the mechanism from ingress of dirt. The standard lock supplied uses an 11 mm triangle key.
