Manchester Bollard

Made to replicate the traditional cast iron bollards, this design comes at a fraction of the cost. Our Barriers Direct team highly recommends its use in town centre locations where there is more traffic and greater risk of vehicular collisions.

This bollards’ high-risk traffic calming application and passively safe finish enhances safety by encouraging slower speeds for vehicles along the road. Its flexibility is very useful during collisions as it enhances the bollard’s ability to rebound upon impact. This reboundability offers great value for money as it ensures continued use of the bollard even after collisions. This cost-saving should not be missed out on when making an investment that you would like to last many years.

The anti-ram option is recommended for areas where there is high foot traffic and property to be protected. In this version of the Manchester bollard, the core is reinforced by an inner steel tube that helps prevent vehicles from veering past the boundary and injuring pedestrians or property. These bollards are very durable and recyclable, meaning that even at the end of their long life they can still find some use. They are abrasion and chip-resistant and cope well even in salty weather conditions.

The socket version utilises the LockSafe system, which allows the bollard to be fit into a variety of existing socket systems from other manufacturers. This option allows for bollards to be easily removed and replaced when damaged, without having to do costly groundwork. It is compatible with industry-standard sockets for both square and round ground sockets.

For enhanced visibility, this bollard can also be supplied with a solar-powered stud mounted at the top of the bollard. This means no additional expense during installation for electrical wiring. The socket version of the bollard allows easy removal and replacement for temporary, permanent or semi-permanent applications. Damaged bollards can also be quickly replaced without expensive groundworks. With this version it has patent pending LockSafe® system. This design enables this socket bollard to fit into existing socket systems from other manufacturers, therefore allowing the replacement of other manufacturer’s products, without the need to remove or replace the existing socket system . This means customers are no longer locked-in to using the original manufacturer for repair or replacement.
