Tape & Floor Markings in Stock to Help Supermarkets and Shops During the COVID-19 Emergency
The Government has ordered supermarkets to use floor markings as part of new safety measures to better control social distancing amongst shoppers (24 March) but retailers needn’t panic as stock is available, says online stockist Barriers Direct.
Floor tape is being used to highlight exclusion zones in front of tills and to mark out safe 2 metre distances between queueing customers in line with Government advice, as the coronavirus crisis intensifies and panic buying continues across the UK.
Whilst food stock replenishment has been challenging for retailers due to increased demand, Barriers Direct can confirm they have plenty of floor tape stock available in light of these new immediate measures, including striped floor marking tape, floor tape applicators and floor signs.
“We’re pleased to say we have some stock available for next day delivery, in UK warehouses”, says Managing Director, Janine Carhart. “We’re also encouraging smaller stores, like pharmacies and independents, to order this tape through us because footfall in these stores remains quite high yet aisles and queueing areas are often much narrower.”
Barriers Direct has recently seen a big increase in demand for its stretch belt barriers as businesses around the country race to bring in new measures for keeping its employees and customers as safe as possible, as the rate of COVID-19 infection grows.
