The Optirail™ Pedestrian barrier improves visibility by a factor of 3! That is three times the time to see, be seen and take evasive action!

This high visibility pedestrian guardrail system is considered to be one of the best due to the staggered arrangement of its infill bars. Designed to help prevent accidents where roads bend deceptively or pedestrian visibility was low or blocked.

There are 3 types of panel types: V2, V4 & V8. Each panel has staggered infill bars set to its own unique arrangement, each designed to suit differing road speeds. Thought should be given when planning the installation of pedestrian guardrail as to which panel type should be used.

• The V2 Optirail offers a staggered bar system with optimum sight angle of 2.5 to 5 degrees, for use on straight roads moderate to high speeds.

• The V4 Optirail Staggered bar system with optimum sight angle of 5 to 14 degrees, for use on straight roads low to moderate speeds.

&

• The V4 Optirail Staggered bar system with optimum sight angle of more than 14 degrees, for use on curves of less than 15m radius.

Installation

To comply with the British Standards concrete foundation should be approx 300 x 300 x 400mm deep for each leg (depending on ground conditions).
