Cantilever Sliding Gate

For entrances with limited space for swinging open gates or ones that are at an incline, the automatic cantilever sliding gate is an ideal choice. Although sliding gates prices are higher, they offer more access and better security than rising arm barriers. Controlled by a purpose-made programmable logic controller, via an inverter output to a 3-phase motor, the functions of the gate can be configured. This includes such aspects as gate speed, automatic opening times, passage timeout, and free exit loop operating times.

Built using high-grade aluminium, the gate can be customised up to a maximum span of 10 metres, drive through, and a maximum height of 3 metres. We offer a variety of infill options including vertical bars, mesh, paladine, and solid aluminium sheeting. The gate can also be painted in corporate colours upon request. We offer a bespoke service for this product to ensure that the final design suits the environment it will be utilised in and the preferences of the client.

This sliding security gate can be further enhanced with several optional security features including razor wire extensions, electric fence, traffic lights, warning siren, and anti-climb spikes for gates over 1500mm in height.  Multiple access control features can also be integrated into its system, including proximity cards, token acceptors, remote control fobs, keypads, voice/video intercom access, key switches, and loop detectors.

Quality PU finishing, abrasion, shot blasting and other coatings are used on the aluminium and steel components of the construction to make the gate weather-resistant and enhance its durability. At Barriers Direct we ensure that the installation process is easy thanks to the precise fabrication and lack of need for tracking. Its cantilever design means the gate is supported on one end to slide it open and closed so no need to dig and lay a track for wheel support.  In the event of power failure, the manual release mechanism allows for manual control.
