Untensioned Safety Fencing

Untensioned Safety barrier is widely used in installations such as roadside verges (excluding motorways, dual carriageways and national speed limit highways), slip roads, industrial estates and car parks.

It is designed to both protect areas from damage by passing vehicles and to smoothly re-direct traffic onto a course as near as possible parallel to the barrier.

Specification

• Corrugated mild steel beams formed from 3mm thick material
• Supplied in standard lengths of 3500mm (3200mm effective)
• Standard posts are available as follows:

1) 125mm x 90mm x 5mm x 1200mm “Z” section post (for excavated foundation)

2) 127mm x 76mm RSJ post (Type P224) x 560mm or 760mm c/w base plate for bolting to concrete surface

Each 3.2m length requires 2x posts

Each post requires 1x M16 post bolt to secure to fencing

4x M20 Foundation bolts are required to secure post to ground

4x Lap bolts needed per Fish End

8x Lap bolts required to join each length together (overlay)
